I moved into a new home this last year and have had so many fun ideas to get my house to feel like a home and I have finally gotten my main floor looking somewhat put together. I love how it is turning out.... So here are a few pictures of my many projects.
My Dining Room
My Kitchen Window..... I made these Roman Shades from a really easy tutorial I found on the BELOVED PINTEREST!!! I also made the Cook sign with some Modge podge. YES I need to do more how I did them posts. I will work on that....
My Mud room is only used for my Dogs food bowl so it needed a mega make over. I made the Sign and actually got the furniture piece for free and it looks so good in there. I originally wanted to put it in my bathroom but it looked so good in there I am going to keep it in there.
My living room is well EMPTY. I have no furniture for it really yet so I just put a dresser and chair in there. Both are sentimental value. If ya wanna know about the Chair Click Here .
The Dresser was my Grandma's and It looked like this before....
And After it was amazing.... I loved the way it turned out.
On top of the Dresser I have a collection that DJ and I have been doing since before we got married even. I have been obsessed with Traveling since I was in my teens. I want to go everywhere especially if there is a beach involved. We DJ has been so great to me and fulfilled my wishes by taking me to wonderful sandy locations every year. He proposed on a beach we went on our honeymoon to a beach we celebrated our anniversary on a beach and my birthday..... anyway the whole point is I love to save the sand so I just went to D.I. and got a bunch of different bottles and put the sand in them with labels so I have a little bit of beach with me at home. I love it. Our collection is getting to large for one area now though. Ganna have to come up with a new spot.
Our Main "Big Room" as my husband calls it is my favorite room in the house so far. I made some panels for window treatments reupholstered my grandma's Chair. I made a pillow and put some detail on our media console.
My wonderful mother reupholstered two of my pillows for me with the same Chevron fabric I used on the roman shades and window panels.
I reorganized my wall collage so that it was all the same color and equally spaced. (as much as I had patients to do I guess).
My remake of the Restoration Hardware pillows.
My husband gave me a cricket cutter for our anniversary but I wasn't really sure how to use it... Well if you haven't noticed I finally figured it out and have a blast using it on everything since. I added these cute numbers to my media console that really is probably my favorite piece in the whole house.
The only room I have really finished in the upstairs is what we call the boys bathroom. We bath Harley in it and DJ uses it cause it is right by his office room. I don't think I ever have but I walk by it a lot and was really bored of it. The style of it was really modern and the rest of the house is definitely not. So this is the before.....
on a final note I had BUNCO night at my house this week and got this great idea off PINTEREST so I decided to try it out.... It's Madeline's Lemonade in Mason Jars. So cute and so YUMMY!

Way cute Idea for party's like showers or bbq's.
if I only had such a talent. I am not a patient person though. The lemonade looks so delicious
